The Boundary Between Local and Cloud AI Is a Workflow

Local inference is not automatically secure, and a cloud provider’s no-training promise does not eliminate every risk. Data can appear in logs, caches, backups, extensions, or third-party tools.nnClassify public, internal, client-confidential, and regulated data. Use different models and permissions for each class, redact before cloud calls, revoke temporary tokens, and audit access. Privacy is a workflow with data flows, permissions, and deletion paths—not a marketing sentence.
